Engineer: Energy / Electrical / Mechanical Focuses

Job Location: Meadville, PA office; Charlotte, NC office

Job Duties:

  • Design and development of thermal and power/renewable energy projects at industrial, commercial, institutional and government facilities
  • Conduct energy audits of industrial processes and commercial operations at existing facilities and evaluate and recommend energy efficiency improvements
  • Development of engineering cost estimates and life-cycle cost analyses for CHP and district heating projects
  • Carbon accounting, feasibility studies, project design, permitting, bid document development or review, and construction oversight
  • Controls programming, data displays, presentations
  • Writing of reports summarizing designs and analyses, writing of grant applications for clients
  • Development of presentations for project managers and clients

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years experience is envisioned, but other levels of experience will be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Agricultural Engineering from ABET accredited school
  • EIT certification or PE is a plus, but not required
  • A high level of proficiency with drafting software is required
  • Must be willing to perform a wide array of project development tasks and activities including:
    • Writing of reports and memos
    • System design
    • Development of project schedules
    • Development of drawings and specifications
    • Cost estimation
