ENGINEER
Engineer: Energy / Electrical / Mechanical Focuses
Job Location: Meadville, PA office; Charlotte, NC office
Job Duties:
- Design and development of thermal and power/renewable energy projects at industrial, commercial, institutional and government facilities
- Conduct energy audits of industrial processes and commercial operations at existing facilities and evaluate and recommend energy efficiency improvements
- Development of engineering cost estimates and life-cycle cost analyses for CHP and district heating projects
- Carbon accounting, feasibility studies, project design, permitting, bid document development or review, and construction oversight
- Controls programming, data displays, presentations
- Writing of reports summarizing designs and analyses, writing of grant applications for clients
- Development of presentations for project managers and clients
Requirements:
- 1-5 years experience is envisioned, but other levels of experience will be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Agricultural Engineering from ABET accredited school
- EIT certification or PE is a plus, but not required
- A high level of proficiency with drafting software is required
- Must be willing to perform a wide array of project development tasks and activities including:
- Writing of reports and memos
- System design
- Development of project schedules
- Development of drawings and specifications
- Cost estimation
