Job Location: Meadville, PA office; Charlotte, NC office

Job Duties:

  • Development of drawings/schematic designs for site layout, process flow diagrams, and controls systems for energy/renewable energy projects at industrial, commercial, institutional and government facilities
  • Perform engineering calculations for design of energy systems for various facilities, under supervision and guidance of senior engineer
  • Development of engineering cost estimates and life-cycle cost analyses for CHP and district heating projects, under supervision and guidance of senior engineer
  • Conduct energy audits of industrial processes and commercial operations at existing facilities and evaluate and recommend energy efficiency improvements
  • Writing of reports summarizing designs and analyses, writing of grant applications for clients
  • Development of presentations for project managers and clients


  • 0-3 years experience is envisioned, but other levels of experience will be considered
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering from ABET accredited school
  • EIT certification or PE is a plus, but not required
  • A high level of proficiency with drafting software is required
  • Working knowledge of electrical generation and distribution
  • Must be willing to perform a wide array of project development tasks and activities including:
    • Writing of reports and memos
    • System design
    • Development of drawings and specifications
    • Cost estimation
    • Project scheduling
